What is town zoning and how does it impact citizens?
How do three small communities exists together with limited resources?
What planning goes into aspects such as trash collection in a town?
Students will be assigned a zone of town and are only allowed to create services that meet zoning requirements. Mesa could be only industrial, desert could be commercial stores and forest can be only residential.
Students can also treat these biomes as a tri-community and live in each community. They will have to negotiate for resources and participate in trade within the three communities.
Students can discuss power provision, garbage collection and other services by zones in the community as well.
Students can choose or be assigned a town zone and build only zone permitted services in that zone.
Students can live in one of the three communities (biomes) and participate in trade with the other zones
Students can elect a government representative from each zone to advocate for their zone and earn resources and improvements.
