  • What are the conventions of a virtual fantasy genre?

Student Activities

  • You need to create and name a virtual/fantasy world OR visually represent and label the virtual/fantasy world from the novel set or study in class in the form of a map. This map needs to include various fantastical locations which a protagonist would encounter on their fantasy quest. Use the template provided to complete your virtual world map. This map will need to be uploaded to STILE on the due date. If creating your own world then you must follow all four dot points below. If you are representing the world depicted in the novel you studied then only the bottom two dot points apply:
  • Think of an original virtual/fantasy world which you want to create.
  • Name your original virtual/fantasy world.
  • Visually represent this virtual world on the map template provided.
  • Label and name various locations within your virtual world. The next step is to select ONE area from your map which you will virtually represent using the program Minecraft Education Edition.

Performance Expectations

  • Refer to rules of engagement for students.
  • Refer to marking criteria B: Representation.
