Learning Objectives

  • Students will be able to rebuild the history of the costumes of Sardinia (Italy) in Minecraft Education Edition.
  • Students will guide the spectators within a path that explains the strength of the links between clothing and shapes and customs that vary over time.
  • Students will publish their work to build a collective memory.
  • Students will show the materials at the base of the fabric using the storytelling tools in Minecraft Education Edition.
  • Students investigate the symbols present in the fabric and their educational value.
  • Students will collaborate on the creation of their project and share responsibilities in a collaborative.

Student Activities

The teacher will invite the students to look for the typical symbols represented in the fabrics and objects of everyday use.

Students will work in groups to search for information and rebuild the historical memory of weaving in Sardinia.

They will choose a symbol and draw it first on the checked paper .

Performance Expectations

Students reproduce the symbol by planning the work in advance. They will realize the pattern inside Minecraft (pixel art) then tell the story of their weaving .
