Can students formulate a hypothesis about Minecraftian Water Behaviour and test that hypothesis in an effective manner?
Can students modify a tested hypothesis supporting it with observations and detailed evidence?
Can students commit to a final hypothesis that they alone or as a team agree is as accurate as possible moving forward following a lab station?
Can students communicate their final hypothesis in written form and explain what they believe to be true?
Students will complete 5 stations which explore water behaviour in Minecraft.
At each station (alone or in groups) they will form a hypothesis for what they think will happen. They will test that hypothesis. Then modify the hypothesis before committing to a final statement they believe to be true.
Their portfolios will be filled with observations, pictures evidence and final hypotheses for each station.
Complete the 5-6 station in order starting at spawn. Capture picture evidence and written details to support final hypotheses for each station.
Submit the portfolio to their teacher and add hypotheses to the Cave of Knowledge
Catch a fish in the Pool of Wisdom for fun at the end.
