Learning Objectives

  • Students will use math blocks to represent numbers in the Minecraft world.

Guiding Ideas

Use the custom resource pack contained in the Math world in your own lessons to create equations or number tasks within the attached world or your own.  Students can also use the blocks for limitless options.

Student Activities

  • Students can download the world and create equations inside the virtual classroom.
  • Students can also use the resource pack within the world and apply it to other worlds of their own creation.
    • To use the pack in other worlds:
      • Students create a new world.
      • Under "Add-Ons" click on "Resource Packs"
      • Click on "Math Resource Pack" and click the + button.
      • Click "Play" and open the inventory to access the number blocks.

Performance Expectations

Students will illustrate their math knowledge by creating their own equations, number representations, and/or number tasks using the special Math blocks.
