The future of CS: AI and coding with Minecraft Education

Monday, June 29, 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Join the next wave of computer science education for the AI era in this high-energy, hands-on workshop. Explore safe AI and coding in Minecraft Education to spark student curiosity and confidence. Experience AI literacy in immersive worlds, then build skills with block-based coding and Python—powered by agentic AI. Design engaging lessons with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Minecraft

Tuesday, June 30, 10:30 am – 11:15 am

In this hands-on workshop, learn how to level up your lesson planning and create exceptionally engaging experiences for all your learners. We’ll work through Copilot-powered planning strategies, then prototype and test lesson plans to see firsthand how Minecraft brings learning to life. Attendees will leave with foundational understanding of Copilot and Minecraft Education, plus a custom lesson plan.

How to implement an AI literacy program with Minecraft and Copilot

Wednesday, July 1, 9:30 am – 10:15 am

AI literacy starts in elementary school, when students build understanding of how AI works before they start using the tools themselves. Minecraft Education offers a K-5 curriculum program called AI Foundations that supports development of critical thinking and digital citizenship skills that young learners need. In this hands-on workshop, offered as a credentialed training, dive into the immersive experiences that bring AI to life for young learners – and learn how to adapt this program for your school system.

Microsoft Booth Theater:

AI literacy for young learners with Minecraft Education

Monday, June 29, 9:30 am – 9:55 am

AI Literacy is required for all young people. Get your learners the skills to understand and safely use AI with Minecraft Education’s AI Foundations program. Introduce core AI concepts, responsible use, and real-world applications that promote critical thinking and creativity, enabling students to cultivate digital citizenship and responsible AI skills.

Teaching online safety with Minecraft Education

Tuesday, June 30, 4:00 pm – 4:25 pm
Wednesday, July 1, 11:30 am – 11:55 am

Ensuring young people are safe online is essential. Build digital citizenship skills with Minecraft’s CyberSafe series. This award-winning set of classroom-ready materials and family resources help students navigate decisions and explore scenarios inspired by real-world risks. Set within the safe, yet immersive worlds of Minecraft Education, they will learn how to implement their new skills in any learning environment.

We can’t wait to share what’s in store for Back to School 2026 and hear what you learned this school year. Thanks for an incredible year and see you in Orlando!
