Minecraft Education is coming to ISTE!

The Minecraft Education team is thrilled to be heading to San Antonio in just a few weeks for ISTE Live 2025—we can’t wait to see you there!

We are bringing hands-on fun, classroom-ready ideas, and new tools powered by AI to help you level up learning with Minecraft—while building essential STEM skills and boosting digital literacy. From booth to classroom, we’re bringing the energy with demos, workshops, and a high energy esports workshop-meets-build-battle for educators sure to spark creativity in the classroom.

Here’s how to join the fun:

  • Visit us in Microsoft’s booth 1800 for a demo, Minecraft Chicken selfie, and to spin the Wheel of Steve!
  • Drop into the Microsoft Live Learn Classroom (221A) for hands-on workshops including Build a Chicken, an epic creative build battle for teachers to get a taste of esports
  • Swing by the Microsoft Learn Live theater (booth 1800) for bite-sized sessions on how to teach coding and AI with Minecraft Education
  • Follow the ISTE action at @PlayCraftLearn on X and Facebook and join the Minecraft Teachers’ Lounge to keep the conversations going with our global community of educators.

Creation Lab: Minecraft Education as a Frame for Learning: Artificial Intelligence Middle School CTE

Tuesday, July 1 4:30pm-5:30pm

Participants will learn AI foundational knowledge through Minecraft Education lessons, developed in collaboration with the University of Florida EQuIPD Program and Microsoft Minecraft Education team. The lessons align with the 2026 Grades 6-8 Artificial Intelligence Standards for Florida Career and Technical Education. They emphasize engineering design thinking, as students rebuild a village destroyed by zombies, solving engineering problems using AI concepts. Students can explore Minecraft Education maps like Fantastic Fairgrounds, Sustainable City, and Cyber Heroes, and code an AI Agent in MakeCode to manage farms in the village. The curriculum integrates AI education with hands-on game play.

Build AI Literacy for All with Minecraft Education

Equip learners with the skills to understand and interact with AI through innovative AI literacy lessons in Minecraft Education’s AI Foundations program.
