In 2021, we released two major updates taking Minecraft: Education Edition beyond the classroom, learned from many innovative educators in our global community, and focused on sustainability, equity, and accessibility through the power of play.

ENGAGING STUDENTS WITH AMAZING WORLDS

Students met Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, and Malala Yousafzai in Lessons in Good Trouble, learned English language with Cambridge Assessment, explored indigenous history with Manito Ahbee Aki, and so much more.
These inventive lessons encourage meaningful learning with Minecraft across the curriculum.

COMPUTER SCIENCE FOR EVERYONE

We wrapped up 2021 with CS Education Week and Minecraft Hour of Code: TimeCraft.
Code with blocks or Python to correct mysterious mishaps throughout history in this free lesson that’s fun for the whole family. Explore over 150 hours of Computer Science curriculum to go beyond Hour of Code at home or in the classroom.
